Martha B. Earnest
Martha B. Earnest, 95 of Osceola Mills, PA passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the home of her daughter Mary Willis in Osceola Mills, PA.
Born On April 10, 1916 in (Old Moshannon) Osceola Mills, PA. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Matilda (Pearson) Cartwright. She was married to Adam J. Earnest on October 14, 1938 in Port Matilda PA, he preceded her in death on September 13, 1959.
Mrs. Earnest was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Adam James Earnest; a granddaughter Marla Bates; nine sisters Anna Cartwright, Emma Cartwright, Esther O’Neill, Lucy Miller, Phoebe Johnson, Ruth Rohrback, Margaret Johnson, Gertrude Petuck and Irene Frank; two brothers Paul and William Cartwright.
She is survived by four daughters Eileen Dudak and her husband John of Osceola Mills, PA, Sally Bratton and her husband William of Osceola Mills, PA, Mary Willis of Osceola Mills, PA and Debbie Czar of Osceola Mills, PA; two sons Robert Earnest of Osceola Mills, PA and Thomas Earnest and his wife Betty Jo of Osceola Mills, PA; fourteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA with Rev. Father Stanley Swacha officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be Friday, March 23, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
