Lena I. Woods
Lena I. Woods, 94 of West Decatur, PA and a guest of Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center died on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Penn Highlands in Clearfield, PA.
Born on September 7, 1930 in Decatur Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Porter & Melissa (Walls) Albright. She married Jack L. Woods, Sr. on September 13, 1948; he preceded her in death on November 9, 2020.
Lena was a member of the former Ohio United Methodist Church and was a Homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Richner & Carol Templeton; five sisters, Louise Phillips, Fay Jean Berg, Vera Phillips, Jessie Cramer and Bessie Martin; and six brothers, Bill, Roy, Pete and Porter Albright along with two infant brothers.
Lena is survived by two daughters, Patty Scanish & her husband Richard of Pennfield, PA and Joan Spicer of State College, PA; two sons, Jack L. Woods, Jr. & his wife Karen of West Decatur, PA and Terry Woods & his companion Kathy of Reading, PA; a sister, Mary Yarger of Houtzdale, PA; a brother, Richard Albright of Brisbin, PA; sixteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA. Pastor Roy Hampton will officiate. Burial will be at Reidy Cemetery in Wallaceton, PA.
Visitation will be on Friday from noon until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
