Floyd W. Winters
Floyd W. Winters, 81, of West Decatur, PA passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Windy Hill Village P.S.L in Philipsburg, PA.
He was the son of the late Lloyd & Wava (Hampton) Winters, born on June 12, 1931 in Decatur Township, PA. He married Mae (Sheroke) Winters 0n June 7, 1953 at the former Ohio E.U.B Church in Morgan Run, Osceola Mills, PA. She survives him at the Windy Hill Village P.S.L. in Philipsburg, PA.
Mr. Winters was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God in Philipsburg, PA.
He was a retired Coal Miner and a 1949 graduate of the former Philipsburg High School.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Winters is survived by: a daughter, Judith Chilcot & her husband Richard of Woodbridge, VA; two sons, Rev. Daniel B. Winters & his wife Bonnie of Philipsburg, PA and Timothy A. Winters & his wife Tammy of West Decatur, PA; three brothers, Charles Winters & his wife Georgia of West Decatur, PA, Sherman Winters & his wife Marjorie of Hollywood, FL, and Milton Winters & his wife Edith of West Decatur, PA; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27. 2012 at the Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God in Philipsburg, PA, with Rev. Robert Ferguson officiating. Burial will be at the Baughman Cemetery in RD Houtzdale, PA.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 26, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA; and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the church.
