Cathy A. “Chip” Williams
Cathy A. “Chip” Williams, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA. Born on January 1, 1953, she was the beloved daughter of the late George Sudik, Jr. & Shirley M. (Lobb) Sudik. On March 20, 1976, she married Joe Mike Williams in Philipsburg, PA; unfortunately, he preceded her in death on July 11, 1992.
She dedicated her professional life to the Philipsburg-Osceola School District, serving as the Transportation Clerk until she retired to then work part-time in the Pharmacy at Weis Markets. Chip proudly graduated from Philipsburg-Osceola High School in 1970 and later earned her degree from the Wheeler School of Business in Pittsburgh, PA. She was an active member of the BPOElks #1173 and former member of the NOP Club in Philipsburg.
Chip is survived by her loving daughter, Casey L. Williams of Philipsburg, PA; devoted son, Michael T. Williams, and his husband Kyle Heidenberger of Washington, DC; supportive sister, Karen Woodrow, and her husband Jeff of Carlisle, PA; caring brother, George Scott Sudik, and his wife Deb of York, PA; a brother-in-law, Jerry Williams; sisters-in-laws, Mary Ann Dominiak, Barbara Williams, Bert Casey, and Kathleen Bittle; along with several cherished nieces and nephews.
Visitation followed by a Memorial Service to celebrate Chip’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA. Reverend Dr. Katie Hopper and Pastor William R. Conway will officiate.
Chip’s legacy is etched in the memories of those who knew her—a radiant smile that lit up any room, an unwavering dedication to her friends and children, and a genuine appreciation for the simple joy found in sharing a good beer.
