Brandon Lee Vaughn
Brandon Lee Vaughn, of Philadelphia, PA was born on August 15, 1983 at Clearfield Hospital, PA, in the early morning hours of 4:08 AM.
Brandon went home to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 6th, 2025. He was the beloved son of Charles Vaughn Jr. and Sharon Vaughn; cherished brother to Melanie Moses and her husband Tim Moses, Melinda McCracken and her husband John McCracken, and Molly Anne Freed and her husband Austin Freed; devoted nephew to Barry Herr and his wife Crystal Herr and Anna Herr. Adored cousin to Sara Herr. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews & nieces on his father’s side who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his great grandmother, Anna Barvinchak Lockey; his grandmother, Mary Louise Herr; his grandfather; Charles Edward, Sr.; his grandmother, Mary Frances Vaughn; his uncle, Larry Carem; his uncle Charles Kephart, Sr.; his aunt Mary Kephart; his sister, Prudence Vaughn.
Brandon attended Philipsburg-Osceola School District but graduated from Spring-Ford Area High School in Royersford, PA, in 2002. Right after graduation, Brandon enlisted in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne
Division. Brandon trained at both bases, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Fort Benning, Georgia. His courage, bravery, and love to help others shone brightly as he served to protect his country in the war in Iraq from 2002-2004.
Brandon was a light in a dark room and could make anyone laugh with joy. His sense of humor was the cure to any situation. Brandon enjoyed listening to good music and playing good music. If someone needed a friend, Brandon would welcome them with open arms.
A funeral will take place on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, at 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA. Rev. Timothy Richmond will officiate. Burial will be at the Centre Cemetery, Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to funeral time at the funeral home.
Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Osceola Mills Guard.
