Stanley S. Surkovic
Stanley S. Surkovic, 73, of Osceola Mills, PA, died on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Conamaugh Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, PA.
Born on June 2, 1951, in Houtzdale, PA, Stanley was the son of the late Steve Joseph “Scram” Surkovic & Christine (Temo) Surkovic. He married Judith J. (Keith) Surkovic on June 5, 1971 in Houtzdale, PA. She preceded him in death on November 17, 2021.
Stanley was a member of the South Philipsburg C & M A Church. He was also a life member of the Columbia Fire Company and the Mountain Top Fire Company.
He retired from Kaza Fire Equipment in Ebensburg, PA.
Stanley was a 1969 graduate from Moshannon Valley High School.
He liked to go fly fishing and enjoyed the Houtzdale Pool League.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
He is survived by two sons, John J. Surkovic of Philipsburg, PA and Vincent E. Sukovic of Osceola Mills, PA; a sister, Barbara Lutz & her husband Stanley of Houtzdale, PA; two grandchildren, Alisha Surkovic and Emily Surkovic; one niece, Tracy Southern; a nephew, Robert Lutz; two great-nephews, Derek Southern and Tenner Southern; and numerous other cousins and family members.
Funeral Service will take place on Friday, February 28 at 11:00am at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC at 701 Lingle St. Osceola Mills, PA. The service will be officiated by Rev. Scott Hartsock.
There will be visitation on Thursday, February 27 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm and on Friday, February 28 from 10:00am until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
