Anna M. Sunman
Anna M. Sunman, 91, of Sandy Ridge, PA died on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Colonial Courtyard in Tyrone, PA.
Born on April 13, 1933 in Philipsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert & Anna (Davidson) Showers. She married William H. Sunman on August 31, 1980 in Kankakee, IL; he preceded her in death on November 29, 2010.
Anna was a member of the Osceola Mills Presbyterian Church.
She was a retired Over the Road Truck Driver.
Anna loved going dancing with her nephew Neill Baney and her friend Betty Sabol.
In addition to her parents and husband, Anna was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Baney, and a brother, Raymond “Spud” Showers also by a step-son, Dennis Sunman and a son-in-law Ronald Graddy.
She is survived by a daughter, Darla Pitts & her husband, Charles of Eldorado, IL; two step-daughters, Deborah D. Riley & her husband Kevin of LaGrange, IN and Lori J. Graddy of LaGrange, IN; a son, Andrew L. Coleman of Sandy Ridge, PA & his companion, Sarah Miller of Tyrone, PA; a sister, Dolores Renaud of Plainfield, NJ; a brother Robert Showers & his wife Joan of Philipsburg, PA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Rev. Dr. Mary Jo Bruinooge will officiate. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
