Geraldine R. Shimmel
Geraldine R. Shimmel, 79, of State College, PA formerly of West Decatur, PA died on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Embassy of Hearthside in State College, PA.
Born on July 21, 1945 in Philipsburg, PA, Geraldine was the daughter of the late Joseph Kadash & Dorothy (Vasbinder) Kadash.
Geraldine was of the Christian Faith.
She was a retired Administrative Assistant for Siemens in Trenton, NJ.
Geraldine graduated from the Topeka High School.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by three sons, Ray Shead, Frank Shead, and Joseph Frantz; five sisters, Catherine Walstrom, Susie Greenlow, Charlene Snyder, Debra Kautz, and Mary Ann Kadash.
She is survived by five sisters, Shirley Ropchock of Philipsburg, PA, Josephine “June” Creek of Springfield, WV, Dorothy Washburn & her husband James of Philipsburg, PA, Beverly Perry of Spanaway, WA, Patricia Adams of Philipsburg, PA, and Sharon Monoskey & her husband Delbert of Osceola Mills, PA.
There will be no funeral service or visitation.
Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery of Osceola Mills, PA.
