Richard H. Scaife, 86, of (Chester Hill) Philipsburg, PA, died on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Mt. Nittany Medical Ctr. in State College, PA.
Born on May 28, 1938, in Philipsburg, PA, Richard was the son of the late Richard & Nora C. (Reams) Scaife. He married Ellen Jane (Dixon) Scaife on November 9, 1957 in Philipsburg, PA. She preceded Richard in death on July 23, 2023.
Richard attended gFree Church.
He was the owner operator of the former Scaife Deflector and Accessories in Philipsburg, PA.
In addition to his parents and wife, Richard was preceded in death by a sister, Dixie McFaye; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
Richard is survived by two daughters, Janelle Rojik & her husband Wendel of Petersburg, PA, and Wanda Hockenberry & her husband Greg of Bellefonte, PA; two sons, Steve Scaife of Philipsburg, PA, and Mark Scaife & his wife Mary of Osceola Mills, PA; a sister, Florence Miller & her husband Galen of Randallstown, MD; a brother, Melvin Scaife & his wife Eileen of Shade Gap, PA; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St.,Osceola Mills, PA. Pastor Noel Meyers will officiate.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 19 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral time at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
