Lola Alice Reams
Ecclesiastes 3:1,2 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die……….
Born on August 19, 1934, Lola A Reams possessed a kind and loving heart, and a gentle soul that touched, in a positive way, all those who knew her. Through her faith in God, her love of music, and her famous “home-cooked family meals” Lola ministered to countless individuals throughout her lifetime.
On February 07, 2025, Lola slipped the bonds of her earthly body and entered into the eternal home of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There to greet her were her loving husband of nearly 64 years, Marvin L. Reams, her parents, Thomas and Helen Rodkey, and her twin sister and best-friend-forever, Leah N. Powell. Left behind to mourn her passing are her 3 children, Charlene Rushnock, Eldon Reams and his wife Hope, and Michelle Hibbs and her husband Joseph. She also leaves behind a sister Sandra Shimel and her husband Barry. In addition, Lola passes a legacy to her 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren all of whom she loved more than life itself. Numerous nieces and nephews, and life-long friends are also the poorer for her passing.
It would be remiss not to acknowledge the “family” that Lola gained at the Mountain Laurel Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center during the last difficult year of her life. The outpouring of love, care and support by all the staff, and especially those of the 3rd floor, is appreciated to a far greater degree than they could ever imagine.
