Erma C. Pinto
Erma C. Pinto, 97, of (Sanborn) Houtzdale, PA, died on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Penn Highlands in Clearfield.
Born on May 24, 1928, in Rural Houtzdale (Sanborn), Erma was the daughter of the late John Yarger & Effie (Richner) Yarger. She married Leland G. Pinto on January 24, 1948 in West Decatur, PA. He preceded her in death on September 23, 2002.
Erma was a member of the former Ohio United Methodist Church.
She was a homemaker.
Erma played guitar with the former Cornerstones.
In addition to her parents and husband, Erma was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Flick; a sister, Vera Litz; and four brothers, Wayne Yarger, Andrew Yarger, Gerald Yarger, and Johnie Yarger.
Erma is survived by a son, Norman D. Pinto of Rural Houtzdale (Sanborn); nieces and nephews: Bradley Litz, Joyce Baker, Cindy McGuire, Cathy Timberlin & her husband, Walter, Tera Richtscheit & her husband, Nick, Paula-Rae Gallaher, and Crystal Butler; a cousin, Connie Marker; and a friend, Jim Zulich.
The funeral will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, at 701 Lingle St. Osceola Mills, PA 16666. Pastor Jeff Laurer will officiate.
Burial will be at Sanborn Cemetery in Rural Houtzdale, PA.
There will be visitation on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
