We enter this world nameless and one-of-a-kind and a name for the birth certificate must be decided. The name, Margaret Lucille was chosen for this new arrival, but it was soon evident that it was too proper to fit her personality, and she became “just Peggy”. She was popular in school but being with family was where she found real comfort. At the age of 20, she made the decision to dedicate her life to putting family first above all others, and she never looked back. She became a true Florence Nightingale that sat with each one of them till they were called home. Even after being the last one here, her love of family was so strong that she still carried them with her and was unable to change for her own personal comfort. She was a special gift from God. She has left behind a legacy that few will ever follow, but to her family and close friends that have been privileged to share her life, we will be walking with her always.
Peggy held many positions throughout her life. She was a licensed beautician, a meat packer at various grocery stores and retired from Clearfield Hospital business office.
Peggy is survived by three children, Robert Davis, Jr and wife Darlene of Bradford, PA, Gary Davis and wife Carrol of Spring Grove, PA, and Bonnie (Davis) Anderson and husband John of Clearfield, PA, and a niece, who she raised as her own, Nancy (Thompson) Stein and husband Harold.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Robert Davis, III, Brock Davis, Lesley (Barr) Warren & her husband Tim, Jeffrey Barr, Nathan Potter & his wife Amy, Alyssa (Anderson) Bloom & her husband Joseph, Michael Stein & his wife Heather and Sandi (Stein) Segursky & her husband John.
Eight great grandchildren, Caleb Warren & his wife Chloe and Madyson Warren, Oden and Emmie Barr, Trent and Cael Potter, Lola and Chloe Stein, and Taryn Graf.
One, great great grandchild, Caroline Warren
She is also survived by her caretaker, Brenda Gearhart, who provided companionship and loving care to Peggy in her final years, and a close friend, Don Stevens, of Harrisonburg, VA
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by first husband, Robert Davis, Sr. and second husband M. Verle Perrin, as well as siblings, Leslie Thompson, Nancy Warrender, Esther Thompson, Florence Thompson, James Thompson, William Thompson, Jack Thompson, Roy Thompson, and Robert Thompson. She was the last surviving member of her family.
