Eleanor May Perkins
Eleanor May Perkins, 82, of Washington D.C., died on Monday, April 13, 2026 at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington D.C.
Born on May 5, 1943, in Philipsburg, PA, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Cornelius Bowman & Helen (Popovich) Bowman. She married James D. Perkins who preceded her in death on November 2, 2016.
Eleanor was a retired Personnel Manager for Prince George’s Co. of the Maryland Government. She retired in 2000 after 40 years of service to her country.
She was a 1961 graduate from the P.O. High School.
Eleanor was widely acknowledged to have the best legs in town and was affectionately known as “Legs” in her younger years as it was the 60s.
In addition to her parents and husband, Eleanor was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lefort, and Dorothy Fyock; and a brother, David Bowman.
She is survived by a son, Brent Devon Perkins of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Delores Joan Gallaher of Vian, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no service or visitation.
Interment will be at Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
