Michele A. Novotny
Michele A. Novotny, 51, of Philipsburg, PA died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at her home.
Born on July 8, 1963 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Maria L. (Santa Barbara) Hughes of College Park, MD & the late Michael Hughes. Her companion Jeff Cowher survives at home.
She was of the Catholic Faith and worked as a food service worker for Polliwag Pond Child Care in Marquette, MI. Ms. Novotny was a 1981 graduate of the Bald Eagle High School.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister Eileen Hughes-Bigger.
Along with her mother, and companion she is survived by two daughters, Colette Rubio & her husband Mike of Kokomo, IN and Renee Novotny of Big Bay, MI; two sisters, Maria Larsen & her husband Brian of Salem, NC and Diane Burns & her husband Scott of Big Bay, MI; two brothers, Kevin Hughes & his wife Rita of Olympia, WA and Sean Hughes & his wife Kim of Bethesda, MD; and six grandchildren, Alexander, Hugh, Abby, Blake, Mike, and Cayden.
A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the Big Bay Cemetery in Big Bay, MI.
