Judith Ann Murphy
Judith Ann Murphy, 79, of Virginia Beach, VA, and formerly of Osceola Mills, PA, died on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Born on October 9, 1944, in Philipsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late John & Loretta (Hefferan) Murphy.
Judith was a member of the Catholic Faith.
She worked at the former Philipsburg General Hospital as an Administrative Associate. She was a 1962 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School.
Her love of water and warm weather brought her to Virginia Beach, VA, where she resumed her career at Virginia Beach General Hospital until she retired in 2009.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marla Earnest Bates.
Judith is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Earnest & her significant other Ted Campbell of Virginia Beach, VA; a son, Robert D. Earnest & his wife Lori of Osceola Mills, PA; a sister, Marybeth Myers of Philipsburg, PA; a brother Jack Murphy & his wife Alice of Richmond, VA; three grandchildren, Tara Johns, Jacob Earnest and Josh Earnest; and eighteen nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. Burial will be at Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
