Jane M. Moskel
Jane M. Moskel, 94, of Osceola Mills, PA, died on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the home of her daughter Barbara St. Louis in Morann, PA.
Born on January 21, 1931 in Osceola Mills, PA, Jane was the daughter of the late Joseph Gezymalla & Josephine (Ciosek) Gezymalla. She married Raymond J. “Musky” Moskel. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2015.
Jane was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Osceola Mills, PA. She was a former member of the church choir and a member of the Rosary Society of the church. Jane was also a member of the St. Victoria Ct. #646 Catholic Daughters of America. She was an Aux. member of the VFW Post 5020 in Osceola Mills, PA. She also sat on the election board for 50 years.
Jane had worked for many years at the former Ames Department Store in Philipsburg, PA.
She was a 1949 graduate from the former Osceola Mills High School.
Jane was an amazing cook and she loved to bake. She canned all of the produce from her husband’s garden and had a green thumb. She loved watching Penn State Football and babysitting. Jane also enjoyed sipping on Christian Brothers Brandy.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jane was preceded in death by four sisters, Helen Kokosko, Frances Alcorn, Violet Hurt, and Bernice Gorman; and three brothers, Johny, Edward, and Sylvester Gezymalla.
Jane is survived by two daughters, Barbara St. Louis of Morann, PA, and Paula Moskel of Osceola Mills, PA; two sons, James Moskel & his wife Nancy of Philipsburg, PA and Michael Moskel & his wife Melanie of Philipsburg, PA; one brother, Joseph Gezymalla & his wife Josephine of Brunswick, OH; six grandchildren, Josh (Katelyn), Caleb, Jimbo, Amy (Rich), Riley, and Max; five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Nicole, Tory, Kendall, and Brady; and a special friend, Frankie.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 10:45 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA. Rev. Father Jonathan Schmolt, celebrant.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
A visitation will be on Friday, March 14 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC at 701 Lingle St. Osceola, PA 16666.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
