Bernadine E. McGuire
Bernadine E. McGuire, 92 of Philipsburg, PA and formerly of Houtzdale, PA, died on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Windy Hill Village, PSL, in Philipsburg, PA.
Born on September 8, 1931, in Philipsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the Late John Shinafelt, Jr. & Dorothy I. (Britton) Shinafelt.
Bernadine was a member of the Brisbin Baptist Church, the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Houtzdale Fire Co., the Houtzdale Senior Center, and St. Anthony’s Society.
She was a Retired Seamstress for Charles Navasky & Co.
Bernadine was a graduate of the Osceola Mills High School and attended Nyack College.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sons, Raymond “Dean” McGuire, Russell “Pidge” McGuire, Russell Jaye McGuire and John P. “Cat” McGuire; and two grandchildren, Nathaniel McGuire and Justin Myers.
Bernadine is survived by a daughter, Diane McGuire of Osceola Mills, PA; ten grandchildren, Amber Pierson, Mike, Chris, Cassie, Deana, Steph, Nick, Corey, Gage and Austin McGuire; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA. Pastor Mark Melhorn will officiate. Burial will be at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
