Janet June McGirk
Janet June McGirk, 83, of Osceola Mills, PA died on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Windy Hill Village P.S.L. in Philipsburg, PA.
Born on June 21, 1931 in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin, Jr. & Teresa (Little) Dively. She married, her first husband, Warren Stout on December 31, 1949 in Winchester, VA, he preceded her in death on May 19, 1979. She married her second husband, John W. “Jack” McGirk on August, 27, 1982 in Osceola Mills, PA, he preceded her in death on March 21, 2012. She is survived by her companion, Anthony “Tony” Kasper.
Mrs. McGirk was a member of the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church and attended the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she formerly sang in the choir. She was a homemaker and enjoyed holidays and picnics with her family and hosted a 4th of July picnic and family reunions at her home for 30 years.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Marlene Dively.
Along with her companion, Mrs. McGirk is survived by: a daughter, Sharon Ann Stout of Sandy Ridge, PA; two sons, Raymond Stout & his wife Mary Ann of Philipsburg, PA and Randy Stout, Sr., & his wife Khandaa of Franklin, PA; a brother, Benjamin F. Dively, III of Water Street, PA; eight grandchildren, Yolanda Harris & her husband Wes, Lauren Stout, Warren Stout & his wife Kristel, Randy Stout, Jr. & his wife Jessica, Clinton Stout, Logan Stout, Claire Stout, and Subedei Stout; and five great-grandchildren, Jake Stout, Camilla Stout, Sophia Stout, Brooke Stout and Piper Harris; and a former daughter-in-law, Teresa Stout.
At the request of Mrs. McGirk, there will be no viewing or funeral service. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
