First of all thank you so much for taking such good care of my dad and loving my dad for so long!. Michelle and. I consider ourselves so lucky to have had you in our dads life!
Dad
I love you and miss you more than I can even express. You were there for us and took care of us when you did not have to. We were lucky that you adopted us and called us your own. I am so happy to know that you are with our redeemer and our creator now and I can’t wait to see you again one day. Keep Granny and Pappy company while you are there. No matter what Michelle and I will love you for always.

To all those who loved my Dad: Thank you for loving him. While it is so hard for us to lose him, he is in a much better place, free of his body and that truly terrible disease that gripped it. I thank God that he did not have to suffer with it any longer. I pray that through God’s grace, love, and forgiveness we might all be reunited one day in Jesus name. Amen.
To Vinetta: Thank you so much for loving Dad, for helping him to grow, and for bringing him back to my life. Thank you for taking care of him through his illness and for upholding his wishes before and after his death. You are a very special person. I am so glad to have you in our lives. I am so sorry for the terrible loss that you are going through. You will always hold a special place in my heart. I love you. May the Holy Spirit comfort you. Amen.
To Dad: Thank you for adopting us and giving us your name. Thank you for being the only father we ever knew. Thank you for being there as we grew. Thank you for the trips to the park, the long walks, and all the car rides and so many other things that you did as a parent. Thank you for the deep conversations. Thank you for the words and the love that have saved my life more than once. Thank you for teaching us not to be too serious all the time and for a love of music. Thank you for the trips to the beach as a family each year, for playing with us in the waves and taking us to the amusement park. I am so sad to lose you, especially the week I was planning to see you with the boys, but I am so glad that you got to see them the times that you did. Thank you for welcoming Rob to the family and for all the steaks you knew he loves. I am happy for you, happy that you didn’t have to suffer a moment longer. I see you now able to jump higher than ever before and able to do some of the silly moves you did before the disease. I pray that through God’s amazing grace we will one day be reunited in love and perfection with all those we have loved and will love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
