Charles E. Lockett Sr.
Charles E. Lockett Sr., 82, of Philipsburg, PA, formerly of Sandy Ridge, PA, died on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.
Born on July 9, 1942 in Olanta, PA, he was the son of the late Blair Lockett & Olive (Fetzer) Lockett. He married Tressa M. (Concel) Lockett on October 19, 1963 in Houtzdale, PA. Tressa preceded Charles in death on September 18, 2007.
Charles was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, the Mountain Top Fire Co. in Sandy Ridge, and K of C Council 2050 in Osceola Mills, PA.
He was a retired maintenance worker for Windy Hill Village and formerly worked at General Cigar.
Charles was a 1960 graduate of Clearfield High School.
He enjoyed fishing, bingo, traveling to Branson, MO, hunting, spending time with his grandchildren, listening to radio polka on Sunday mornings, and good jokes.
In addition to his parents and wife, Charles was preceded in death by a sister, Permella Bunnell; a brother, Blair Lockett; and a daughter-in-law, Darlene N. (Roberts) Lockett.
Charles is survived by four daughters, Catherine M. Smith & her husband Richard of Prince Frederick, MD, Pamela M. Mathson & her husband Craig of Grand Forks, ND, Elizabeth A. Lockett & her companion Steve Bumbarger of Hawk Run, PA, and Charlene E. Thompson & her husband Rick of Brockport, PA; a son, Charles E. Lockett Jr. of Osceola Mills, PA; two sisters, Ruby McKay of Rural Philipsburg, PA and Connie Passmore of Olanta, PA; twelve grandchildren, Rebecca LaBrie, Jennifer Smith, Blair Hawk, Daniel Hawk, Jessica Holtz, Ashley Collins, Cassandra Kanouff, Colleen Mulhollan, Miranda Lockett, Hannah Lockett, Alexa Lockett, and Jorja Lockett; ten great-grandchildren; and his companion, Christine Showers of Philipsburg, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA. Rev. Father Johnathan Schmolt will be the Celebrant.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC at 701 Lingle St, Osceola Mills, PA. Rosary will be recited on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
