Betty J. Lefort
Betty J. Lefort, 92, of Osceola Mills, PA, died on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Born on June 20, 1931, in Spangler, PA, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius & Helen (Popovich) Bowman. She married Caesar J. Lefort, Sr. on May 20, 1950 in Osceola Mills, PA; he preceded her in death on December 7, 1981.
Betty was of the Christian Faith.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Carter James Mann; a sister, Dorothy Fyock; and a brother David, J. Bowman.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty O. Wilks & her husband Larry of Osceola Mills, PA and Esther O. Timko & her husband John of Osceola Mills, PA; two sons, William H. Lefort of Osceola Mills, PA and Caesar J. “C.J.” Lefort, Jr. & his wife Nicole of Woodland, PA; two sisters, Dolores Gallagher of Colorado and Eleanor Perkins of Washington, DC; seven grandchildren, Craig Wilks, Dusty Lefort, Steve Lefort, John Timko, Jr., Michelle Mann, Misty Dawn Riddle & Nicole Lefort; four great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Betty Bowman.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Health Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA. Pastor Gloria Montgomery will officiate. Burial will be at Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
