Michael R. “Mick” Kozak
Michael R. “Mick” Kozak, 82, of Camp Hill, PA, formerly of Osceola Mills, PA, died on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at UPMC West Shore Hospital in Mechanicsburg, PA.
Born on May 20, 1944, in Philipsburg, PA, Michael was the son of the late Mike Kozak & Sue (Kohut) Kozak. He married Doris Ann (Kantoski) Kozak in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on February 18, 1984. Doris Ann survives at home.
Michael was a member of the St. Matthews Catholic Church in Tyrone, PA and also a member of the St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg, PA. He was a member of the 3rd degree K of C Council 2250 and a member of the 4th degree of Council 952. Michael was a member of the American Legion and a member of the Osceola Mills Honor Guard for 54 years. He was a member of AFSCME Union Local 13 and was the president of this for 17 years. Michael was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War Era. 
Michael retired from PenDOT as a Civil Engineer after 33 years. He was also a retired caretaker for the Catholic Cemeteries in Osceola Mills, PA.
He was a 1962 graduate from the P.O. High School and had graduated from the Williamsport Community College.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his twin sisters, Betty Ann Mencer and Mary Catherine Swasing.
In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by four sons, Michael R. Kozak Jr. (Nicole) of Hughesville, PA, Daniel J. Kozak (Jenny) of Montoursville, PA, Douglas J. Kozak (Lauren) of York, PA, and David J. “Humm” Kozak (Kimberly) of Mechanicsburg, PA; a daughter, Michele R. Gula (William) of Bluffton, SC, eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Father Michael Pleva, celebrant at the St. Matthew Catholic Church.
Interment will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Friends will be received at the Gathering Space of St. Matthew Catholic Church on Monday, August 3, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
