Elaine M. Knowles
Elaine M. Knowles, 86, of Osceola Mills, PA, died on Monday, January 8, 2023, at her home.
Born on June 28, 1937, in Houtzdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew & Marie (Owccarzak) Kitko. She married David J. Knowles, Jr. in 1961; he preceded her in death on May, 9, 2000.
Elaine was a member of the Christian Faith.
She was retired from the Philipsburg-Osceola School District as head cook. And she was a graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Alfred D. Hull, Jr.; a brother, Anthony Kitko; a brother-in-law, Jeff Waring; and a nephew, Jeffrey Waring.
Elaine is survived by three daughters, Beth Marx & her husband Carl of Florida, Catherine Hull of Osceola Mills, PA, and Diane Youngblood & her husband Kenneth of Osceola Mills, PA; a sister, Rosalie Waring of Tyrone, PA; two brothers, Andrew Kitko & his wife Diana of Michigan and David Kitko & his wife Claudia of Houtzdale, PA; five grandchildren, Benjamin, David, Stephanie, Kyle and Jennifer; seven great-grandchildren, Davian, Benjamin, Nolan, Alethea, Rylie, Regan and Cora; a sister-in-law, Jenny Kitko; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
There will be no visitation.
