Betty L. Hugg
Betty L. Hugg, 90, of Philipsburg, PA and formerly of Sandy Ridge, PA died on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Windy Hill Village P.S.L. in Philipsburg, PA.
Born on November 8, 1924 in Sandy Ridge, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Margaret (Kennedy) Sharpless. She married the late Leland E. Hugg in North Carolina: he preceded her in death on December 16, 1977.
Mrs. Hugg was a member of the United Methodist Faith and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: an infant daughter, Peggy Joan Hugg; a grandson, Michael Lee Tomco; two sisters, Dolores Podliski and Mary Lou Goss; and two brothers, Robert and Fred Sharpless.
Mrs. Hugg is survived by: a daughter, Darlene Tomco & her husband, Michael of West Decatur, PA; two grandchildren, Michelle Lezzer of West Decatur and Mark D. Tomco & his wife, Emilee of York, PA; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 701 Lingle Street, Osceola Mills, PA; with Pastor Tina M. Hawkins officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 17, 2105 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 701 Lingle Street, Osceola Mills, PA.
