Douglas Lee Hayward
Douglas Lee Hayward, 59, of Osceola Mills, passed away Friday, November 14th, 2025, at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Nittany Valley.
Doug was born in Philipsburg on July 11th, 1966 the son of the Late Lee R. Hayward & Joyce A. (Myers) Hayward. He graduated from P.O. High School in 1984. He later graduated from Clarion University in 1989, where he received a BS in Business Administration. He was a successful wrestler at Philipsburg-Osceola in his high school years and was an avid sports fan with a love for the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys. He also loved watching Jeopardy and shared daily trivia questions with his family. Each day he completed the newspaper crossword puzzle; a routine that brought him both challenge and enjoyment.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived at home by his wife, Joni S. Hayward (Hughes), daughter, Haylee Hayward of Osceola Mills, and son, Hayden Hayward, of Philipsburg. Also surviving is a brother, Darrin and his wife Christal of Sandy Ridge.
A memorial service will be held at the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 11 a.m., Pastor Kelly Wian will officiate. The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to funeral time at the church. Interment will be in Philipsburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Doug’s memory to the Osceola Mills Community Library, 600 Lingle Street, Osceola Mills, PA 16666. Contributions will be shared between the Osceola Library, Historical Foundation, and Clear-Centre Swimming Pool.
