During my years at Clearfield Area School District, Mr. Wilkes worked with us for several years doing many things with our electronic and television equipment. I always enjoyed working with him over those years as well as his father who worked at IU #10.
I recall one time as I was passing through Brisbin my car decided to have major problems. Fortunately, it was very near the Wilkes home, and Mr. Wilkes was very kind and most helpful to me in getting back on the road. I was always grateful for his help that day, just one of the many fine things about him.
Over the years I have thought of him and am sorry to hear of his passing. my condolences to the family.
