Fran, I am so very sorry for your loss. Monsignor was an awesome priest and had much wisdom and was very influential. He will be dearly missed but I know that he will be greatly rewarded, in heaven, for the many that he helped here on earth.

Msgr. McGee was the associate priest during my elementary school years at St. Francis Church and School in Clearfield. I remember him playing basketball with the high school students.. Later, he returned as Pastor of St. Francis while I was employed as the second grade teacher. Msgr. McGee was the finest example of a priest and a humble servant of God. He will be missed.

I was the school principal during Msgr. McGee’s time at Saint Michael in Greenville. He taught eighth grade religion and coached girls basketball besides his many priestly duties. He was a wonderfully kind and dedicated priest. I’m happy to have worked with him. Rest In Peace, Msgr.

I met Msgr. McGee when he came to St. Francis in Clearfield in 1971. He taught my children Latin and Religion at St. Francis School. He was at our home on many occasions. He would play board games with my oldest son, Bobby, in our playroom, sometimes until fairly late at night. I would go to bed and they would still be playing. He was a great influence on all of our children. Sometimes at night, the two of us would go to the Penelec field, put $.50 into the meters, the lights would go on and we would play tennis. We were on many outings with him and thoroughly enjoyed his company. He married my daughter Kathleen to Mike. When he came back as Pastor, he joined our golf league and played often. He also went to breakfast with the golfers during the winter. He was vey popular with them. When someone would give him something, like clothes, he asked that his name not be put on the article, because he always gave them away. When my Bobby passed, he came to the house and talked to me. He was a wonderful man, a great friend and a outstanding priest. When we went to see him at Christ the King, he would remember me. RIP

Monsignor McGee was a constant figure in my high school years. I will always remember his calm and friendly demeanor. He was a great softball coach and played a mean game of volleyball! He will be missed. Prayers to his whole family

Msgr McGee was my 5th grade CCD teacher while he was still in high school, but intending to enter the seminary. He came to Frenchville accompanied by the Sisters who were stationed in Houtzdale. He was a lifelong servant of the Lord. I am sure he has been prepared a very special place in Heaven for his life of service to our Catholic faith. I extend my sympathy to Msgr’s large family in your loss. A good, holy man indeed.

To Monsignor McGee Family,
Ron & I were so sorry to hear about your brothers passing. He married us at St Michael church in Greenville in 1985 and I am glad to say we are still married today. He also helped my husband convert to Catholic. He was so kind and always had a smile on his face. We did get the pleasure of seeing him become a Monsignor and he was so deserving of it. Another angel in heaven. Sincerely Ron & Sandy Weaver
