Rickey A. Droll Sr.
Rickey A. Droll, Sr., 75, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Geisinger Hospital in Danville, PA. Born on May 6, 1949, in Clearfield, PA, he was the son of the late Russell and Hazel (Eckley) Droll.
Rick was not only an amazing husband and father, but he was also an incredible human being. Rick had the patience of a saint especially when it came to fixing things. He had a skillset that allowed him to tear apart and put back together everything from cars to lawnmowers, to appliances. Every spring, he spent much time servicing lawn mowers for friends and family. Rick had a heart of gold and was a good friend to many people and always went out of his way to lend a hand to help a friend, a neighbor or family never expecting anything in return. Most important to Rick was the love for his family and his strong faith in God and those two things never wavered.
Rick is survived at home by his wife, the love of his life, Marjorie (McMonigle); his daughter, Tresa Ciprich and her husband Scott of Pleasant Gap; his granddaughter, Mackenzie Betzold and her husband Brandon of Idaho; his great grandson, Emerson Betzold of Idaho; his grandson, Brandon Droll of Boalsburg; his daughter-in-law, Dana Droll of West Decatur; his sister, Peg Shimmel of Osceola Mills; his brother, Leon Droll and his wife Vicky of State College; his sister, Linda Flint of Ohio; his brother, Dwight Droll and his wife Darlene of Osceola Mills; and his sister, Cindy Knisely of Ohio along with several nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his beloved son, Rickey A. Droll, Jr.; his nephew, Daniel Droll; his brother, Richard Droll; his brother, Raymond Droll; and his sister, Bertha Ann Rothrock.
