Sarah Phyllis Dixon
Sarah Phyllis Dixon, 97, of Osceola Mills, PA, died on Monday, April 20, 2026 at her home.
Born on September 27, 1928, in Philipsburg, PA, Phyllis was the daughter of the late John J. Daughenbaugh & Viola E. (Mallin) Daughenbaugh. She married Robert Lynn Dixon on October 28, 1988 in Cumberland, MD. Robert preceded Sarah in death on November 2, 2014.
Phyllis was a member of the former Osceola Mills C M & A Church, the Osceola Mills Civic Club, the VFW Aux. Post # 5020 of Osceola Mills, the Ladies Aux. of Columbia Fire Co in Osceola Mills, and a life member at Mooseheart.
She had retired from Charles Nevasky and Co in Philipsburg, PA. Phyllis had also worked for McTague Manufacturing in Philipsburg, PA.
Phyllis was a 1946 graduate from the former Osceola Mills High School.
She loved Bingo and attended the Animals Matter Bingo in Bigler, PA every Monday and had attended 91 of the 4th of July parades in Osceola Mills, PA.
In addition to her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Frantz; a brother, Jack “Doc” Daughenbaugh; four nieces; one nephew; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Phyllis is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special niece, Melinda J. Fleck who was her caregiver.
A funeral will take place on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, at 701 Lingle St. Osceola Mills, PA. Rev. James Evilsizor will officiate.
Interment will be at Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, April 24, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
