Rose M. Danko
Rose M. Danko, 88, of Osceola Mills, PA passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph A. & Anna (Washell) Cowell, born on October 18, 1924 in Osceola Mills, PA. She married Michael D. Danko on August 31, 1948 in Osceola Mills, PA. He survives her at home.
Mrs. Danko was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA, where she was also a member of the Rosary Society, formerly a CCD Teacher and a former member of the church choir. She was also a member of the C D of A Court Victoria #646 in Houtzdale. PA.
She was the Owner and Operator of the former Danko’s Dairy Frost in Osceola Mills, PA and was a Homemaker. She was a 1942 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Viola Dean; and two brothers, Steven Cowell and Raymond Cowell.
As well as her husband, Mrs. Danko is survived by: two daughters, Deborah Zeiders & her husband Rick of Harrisburg, PA, and Dawn Marie Sariano & her husband David of Halifax, PA; and five sons, Daniel M. Danko & his wife Linda of Osceola Mills, PA, Doug Danko & his wife Barb of New Castle, PA, Dennis Danko & his wife Raquel of Chesapeake, VA, Drew J. Danko of Osceola Mills, PA, and Desmond Danko & his wife Laura of Irwin, PA. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, Craig, Trevor & Aaron Danko; Danielle Wylie; Colby, Brent & Robbie Zeiders; Allison McFeatters; Andrea Wagner; Ashley Pavone; Michelle & DJ Danko; Dane & Kyle Danko; Kristen & Joseph Sariano; Michael Danko; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA, with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee officiating. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
There will be no visitation or viewing.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA.
