Nicholas Danko
Nicholas Danko, 102, of Philipsburg, PA, formerly of Osceola Mills, PA, died on Wednesday, July 23 at Heritage Ridge Senior Living at Windy Hill in Philipsburg, PA.
Born on November 4, 1922, in Osceola Mills, PA, Nicholas was the son of the late Steven Danko & Anna (Conitz) Danko.
He was a member of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Osceola Mills, PA.
Nicholas was retired from Shane Industries.
In addition to his parents, Nicholas was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Ann Scheck and Helen Czar; and three brothers, Albert Danko, Steven Danko, and John Danko.
Nicholas is survived by a brother, Eugene Danko & his wife Barbara of Osceola Mills, PA; sister-in-law Mildred “Georgie” Danko of Osceola Mills, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26 at 3:30 p.m. at the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Osceola Mills, PA. Archimandrite Jacob Pirtua will officiate.
Burial will be at the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 26 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral at the church.
