Darlene Virginia Cowfer, 75 of Osceola Mills, PA, died on Monday, May 11, 2026 at her home.
Born on June 15, 1950, in Houtzdale, PA, Darlene was the daughter of the late Joseph Finney, Jr. & Joyce (Olson) Finney. She married Lawrence E. “Larry” Cowfer on October 12, 1968, in Houtzdale, PA. He survives at home.
Darlene was a member of the New Hope Christian Fellowship Church in Houtzdale, PA, and the LOOMoose #154 in Osceola Mills, PA.
She was a homemaker.
Darlene was a 1968 graduate from the Moshannon Valley High School.
In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Finney.
In addition to her husband, Darlene is survived by a daughter, Kerri A. Suhoney of Osceola Mills, PA; a son, Lawrence Lee Cowfer of Osceola Mills, PA; two sisters, Joyce (Finney) Carnahan of Houtzdale, PA, and Shirley Kitko & her husband Raymond of Houtzdale, PA; two brothers, Joseph Finney & his wife April of Liverpool, TX, and Dwayne Finney of Houtzdale, PA; and a granddaughter, Lilee Suhoney.
A funeral will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 11:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, at 701 Lingle St. Osceola Mills, PA 16666. Pastor Jeff Aldridge will officiate.
Interment will be at Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, May 13, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, May 14, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
