Kenneth L. Bratton
Kenneth L. Bratton, 99, of Philipsburg, PA died on Friday, March 21, 2025 with his wife by his side at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Altoona, PA.
Born on June 29, 1925 in Philipsburg, PA, Kenneth was the son of the late Lloyd Bratton & Myrtle M. (Robbins) Bratton. He married Edith L. (Wiser) Bratton on April 16, 1949 in Philipsburg, PA. Edith survives at home.
Kenneth was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Philipsburg, PA. He was an Air Force Veteran of WWII. He was also a member of the VFW Post 5020 in Osceola Mills, PA and a member of the American Legion.
He was a retired Dragline Operator for Power Operating and a Spinner Operator for Corning Glass.
Kenneth graduated from the former Philipsburg High School.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Sunday; and two brothers, Raymond Bratton and Willard Bratton.
In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by three sons, Kenneth J. Bratton of Osceola Mills, PA, William D. Bratton & his wife Sally of Osceola Mills, PA, and Terry Lee Bratton & his wife JoAnne of Philipsburg, PA; a sister, Beverly Warren of Boalsburg, PA; seven grandchildren, Corey, Stacey, Robyn, Christopher, Bobby, Billy, and Johnny; numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC at 701 Lingle St. Osceola Mills, PA 16666. Pastor Steven Cowfer will officiate.
Burial will be at Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will take place on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard at the cemetery.
