Howard F. Bayer
Howard F. Bayer, 76, of Philipsburg, PA, formerly of Osceola Mills, PA, died on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Heritage Ridge Senior Living at Windy Hill in Philipsburg, PA.
Born on July 23, 1949, in DuBois, PA, Howard was the son of the late Charles Ernest Bayer & Annamae (Anthony) Bayer. He married Beatrice M. (Farley) Bayer on July 23, 1988 in Philipsburg, PA. She preceded him in death on February 16, 2010.
Howard was a member of the LooMoose #154 in Osceola Mills, PA.
He retired from the former Shane Solutions in Philipsburg, PA.
Howard graduated from the West Branch High School.
In addition to his parents and wife, Howard was preceded in death by four sisters, Linda, Dottie, Marlene, and Marylyn; two brothers, Thomas Johnson and Charles Bayer Jr.
He is survived by a daughter, Sherry L. Smith & her husband, Charles of Hawk Run, PA; four sisters, Maryann Swoope & her husband Emery of Woodland, PA, Rita Blake of Clearfield, PA, Kim Irwin & her husband Danny of DuBois, PA, and Tammy Cutlip of Bradford, PA; three brothers, Paul Raymond Blowers of Lanse, PA, Gordon Cutlip & his husband Tom of North Carolina, and Grover Cutlip of Clearfield, PA; three grandchildren, Autumn / Brandon, Robert / Sarah, and Kelly; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, at 701 Lingle St. Osceola Mills, PA. Rev. Robert Bruinooge will officiate.
Interment will be at Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
