James A. Bainey
James A. Bainey, 93, of Philipsburg, PA, died on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born April 11, 1931, in Osceola Mills, PA, James was the son of the late William M. Bainey & Bella Mae (Carmack) Bainey. He was married to Margaret M. (Hayward) Bainey on June 9, 1952 in Cumberland, MD. She preceded him in death on October 28, 2016.
James was of the Christian Faith, a life time member of the Chester Hill Hose Co., a member of the Painters Local Union Chapter #409, and a member of the Central District Fireman’s Association. James was a Union Painter and retired in 1993. He also was a 1950 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School. James was an avid fisherman and hunter.
In addition to his parents and wife, James was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Albright; and three brothers, William Bainey, George Bainey, and Roy Bainey.
James is survived by three daughters, Carol Joanne Meek & her husband Sammie of Plant City, FL, Margaret “Peggy” McClure & her husband John of Madisonville, TN, and Kathy Jean Bainey & her companion Ray Woodruff of Macclesfield, NC; a son, James A. Bainey, Sr & his wife Wendy of Philipsburg, PA; a sister, Martha Pulcini & her husband Eli of Osceola Mills, PA; a brother Ronald A. Bainey & his wife Barbara of Osceola Mills, PA; seven grandchildren, Lori Shoupe, Rusty Botwright, Mandy Brown, Ginger Bainey, Melissa Medlin, James Bainey Jr., and Jaden Bainey; and seven great-grandchildren.
At the request of James, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Arrangements will be made by Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC. in Osceola Mills, PA.
Burial will be at Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
