Leo J. Bagrosky
Leo J. Bagrosky, 96, of Midland, MI and formerly of Osceola Mills, PA died on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Aleda Lutz Veterans Hospital in Saginaw, MI.
Born on April 9, 1919 in Osceola Mills, PA, he was the son of the late John & Frances (Slogoski) Bagrosky. He married his first wife, Mabel (Gallaher) Bagrosky on February 14, 1943 in Norman, OK; she passed away on May 21, 1973. He wed his second wife, Lucille (Merrell) Carson Bagrosky on August 12, 1976 in Philipsburg, PA; she preceded him in death on April, 24, 2000.
Mr. Bagrosky was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA. He was a Navy veteran of W.W.II. He was a member of VFW Post 5020 in Osceola Mills, PA and B.P.O.Elks #1173 in Philipsburg, PA. Mr. Bagrosky was a retired machinist and was a 1938 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School.
In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by: a sister, Louise Miscavish and a brother-in-law, Andrew Comitz, Jr.
Mr. Bagrosky is survived by: two step-daughters, Barbara Chumard & her husband, Gef of Middleton, NY and Kathleen Makuch & her husband Garry of Mechanicsburg, PA; two sons, John L. Bagrosky & his wife Candice of Columbia, MD and Lee E. Bagrosky & his wife Mary Pat of Midland, MI; a sister, Rita Comitz of Osceola Mills, PA; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA, with Rev. Father Robert J. Horgas officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
