Darrell L. Anderson
Darrell L. Anderson, 77, of Osceola Mills, PA died on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at his home.
Born on June 11, 1947 in Philipsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Lee A. & Cora Annie (Hallman) Anderson. He married his high school sweetheart, Andrea Rebar on June 8, 1968 at the Ohio United Methodist Church, they were married for 56 years; she survives at home.
Darrell was a member of the Ohio United Methodist Church (Morgan Run) Osceola Mills, PA where he was a former Sunday School Teacher, Chairman for PPR Committee and a Trustee of the church He was also a member of the NRA, the Gearhartville Sportsmen’s Club, the West Branch Sportsmen’s Club, the Sandy Ridge Sportsmen’s Club and a former Webelo Scout Leader.
He was a retired tool maker for FCI, Formerly Berg Electronics in Clearfield, PA and had worked at Piper Aircraft in Quehanna.
Darrell was a 1965 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School and completed Journeyman Machinist at AMF in York, PA.
He was an avid photographer, loved hunting, fishing and traveling. He had a passion for motorcycles all his life, especially his Harley Davidson.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Andrew & June Rebar; two sisters-in-law, Kathy Rebar and Patty Rebar; and a brother-in-law Bernie McCoy.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, James B. Anderson & his wife Karen of State College, PA; along with many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and one great-great-niece.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Ohio United Methodist Church, 2550 Ashland Rd., Osceola Mills, PA. Pastor Samantha McElwee and Pastor Don Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Baughman Cemetery in (Sanborn) Rural Houtzdale, PA
Visitation will be Wednesday 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA and on Thursday from noon until the time of the funeral service at the church.
