Ruth E. Frantz
Ruth E. Frantz, 81, of Hawk Run, PA, died on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.
Born on July 17, 1944, in Morann, PA, Ruth was the daughter of the late Frank Nida, Sr. & Dorothy Gladys (Oswalt) Nida. She married Robert L. Frantz on October 3, 1964 at St. Laurence Episcopal Church in Osceola Mills, PA. Robert preceded her in death on April 30, 2024.
Ruth was a member of the former St. Laurence Episcopal Church in Osceola Mills, PA.
She retired from Charles Navasky & Co. in Philipsburg, PA.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Rodkey.
She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Ann Ruggiero & her husband, Ronald J. of Philipsburg, PA; two sons, Robert J. Frantz, Jr., of Morrisdale, PA, and Scott M. Frantz & his wife Amy E. of Osceola Mills, PA; a brother, Frank Nida, Jr., of Hollidaysburg, PA; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will take place on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, at 701 Lingle St. Osceola Mills, PA 16666. Rev. Father Timothy Kroh will officiate.
The family will receive guests on Monday, March 30, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
