Joseph E. Sankey, Jr.
Joseph E. Sankey, Jr., 84, of Osceola Mills, PA died Monday, March 21, 2016 at his home.
Born on June 24, 1931 in Osceola Mills, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Effie M. (Cowfer) Sankey. He married Lydia M. (Rutt) Sankey on December 31, 1954 in Benson NE, she preceded him in death on November 20, 1999.
Mr. Sankey was of the Presbyterian Faith, a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict and a retired meat cutter for Acme in Lincoln, NE. 
He was a 1950 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by: a daughter Deborah Sankey and four sisters, Nancy Brolin, Peggy Owens, Zola Lee Sankey and Donna Rae Sankey.
He is survived by: five sisters, Betty Ann Haney & her husband Richard of Drifting, PA, Beverly Mignot of Allport, PA, Judith Bires & her husband Michael of RD Philipsburg, PA, Bonnie Marty Brennamen & her husband Frank of Lewistown, PA and Kathy Olson & her husband David of Clearfield, PA; three brothers Daniel I Sankey of Houtzdale, PA, John W. Sankey & his wife Peggy of Philipsburg, PA and Fred H. Sankey & his wife Jamie of Greenville, PA.
Interment will be in the Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln Nebraska.
There will be no funeral service of viewing.
