Florence M. Nickey
Florence M. Nickey, 102, of the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield, PA and formerly of Philipsburg, PA died on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield, PA.
Born on October 12, 1914 in Dunlo, PA she was the daughter of the late Peter and Kathryn (Philips) Mathews. She married John W. Nickey on August 14, 1943 in York, PA: he preceded her in death on October 1, 1982.
Mrs. Nickey was of the Christian Faith.
She was a retired bookkeeper for the former Atlas Manufacturing Company in York, PA and was a 1932 graduate of the former Philipsburg High School.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: one sister, Isabel Rexroth; and one brother, Edward P. Mathews.
Mrs. Mickey is survived by: five nieces and nephews, Kathy Jacobs, Kim Fyock, Tina Dixon, Bruce Mathews and Tracy Remp.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be at the Greenmount Cemetery of York, York, PA.
