Wayne H. Jones

Wayne H. Jones, 68, of Osceola Mills, PA died on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at his home.

Born on June 20, 1952 in Sandy Ridge, PA he was the son of the late Allen E. Jones, Sr. and Twila Ruth (Shoffner) Jones.  He married Pamela A. (Mattern) Jones on January 11, 1975 at the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church: she survives at home.

He was a member of the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church.

Wayne was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, a retired Captain at SCI Houtzdale and he retired from Mo.Valley Correctional Facility.  He was a 1970 graduate of the Philipsburg Osceola High School and was a devoted father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents he was preceded by one brother Allen E. Jones, Jr.

Along with his wife he is survived by: one daughter, Jessica L. Jones & her companion Troy Bowman of Philipsburg, PA; one son, Jeremy W. Jones & his wife Sara B. of Morrisdale, PA; one sister, Linda K. Ott & her husband Mack of Silver Spring, MD; three brothers, Robert A. Jones & his wife Rebecca of Martinsburg, WV, John T. Jones & his wife Suzie of Philipsburg, PA and Gary L. Jones & his wife LuAnn of Osceola Mills, PA; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Osceola Mills, United Methodist Church: with Pastor Gloria Montgomery officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 10 a.m. to funeral time at the church.

Military Honors will be accorded at the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard & the PA Dept. of Corrections SCI Houtzdale Honor Guard.
