Edward L. Southard

Edward L. Southard, 79, of Philipsburg, PA, died on Monday, January 12, 2026 at his home.

Born on September 28, 1946, in Johnstown, PA, Edward was the son of the late William Grant & Edith (Swartz) Southard. He married Diana J. (Myers) Southard in Philipsburg, PA on February 22, 1964. Diana survives at home.

Edward was of the Catholic Faith. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #812 in Clearfield, PA and was a member of the Holt Library in Philipsburg, PA.

He was the Owner Operator of E.L.S. Transport.

Edward was a 1964 graduate from the P.O. High School.

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by a son, John Southard.

In addition to his wife, Diana, Edward is survived by two daughters, Theresa Patrick & her husband James of Osceola Mills, PA, and Terri Shiflett & her husband Mark of Winburne, PA; a sister, Susan Pase & her husband Galin of Morrisdale, PA; a brother, William Southard & his companion, Cathy McCoy of Cresson, PA; four grandchildren, Mark Shiflett, David Southard, Kristin Woodring, and Matthew Patrick; and five great-grandchildren, Willow Woodring, Harlow Woodring, Nathan Patrick, Aiden Southard, and Liam Southard.

Services will be held, Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, Osceola Mills, PA . Rev. Matthias Rendon, O.F.M., will officiate.

Friends will be received Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to funeral time at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
