Joseph J. Sabinash
Joseph J. Sabinash, 87 of Clearfield, PA passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital in Clearfield, PA. He previously resided in Lancaster, Osceola Mills and Philipsburg, PA.
He was born on November 1, 1924 in Lancaster, PA to the late Joseph J. and Mary (Arndt) Sabinash.
Mr. Sabinash was of the Catholic Faith. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and a 
Life Member of the VFW Post #5020 in Osceola Mills PA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was employed as a Fire Fighter for the city of Lancaster, PA, retiring after 25 years of service. He graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School class of 1943, and from the Stevens Trade School in Lancaster, PA as a carpenter.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sabinash was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Mimm and Dorothy Rife; and by a longtime companion Betty Wayne.
He is survived by a daughter, Jean Angelo and her husband Michael of Lancaster, PA; two grandchildren, Michelle Jones of Landisville, PA and Michael Angelo Jr., of Lancaster, PA; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Sourbeer and her husband Richard of Lancaster, PA; and a brother, John Sabinash and his wife Louise of Mountville, PA.
Burial with full military honors will be held at sea at a later date.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA is in charge of arrangements.
