Nick was a terrific friend. He will be greatly missed.
Edward Hoover GMC(SW) USN Ret. Morrisdale, Pa
I’ve known Nick, for 50 years. We first got to know each other when I enlisted in the Navy Reserve, in 1965, at Curwensville, Pa. At that time Nick was a PHC, Chief Photographersmate. Over the years, we drilled together both at Curwensville, and later at Altoona, Pa. I worked in many businesses around the Clearfield Curwensville area, and any time Nick stopped in, he looked me up, and we would chat for awhile. I believe the last time I saw him, was about 5 or 6 years ago, when I was working at Lowe’s, in Clearfield. Although I didn’t see him on a regular basis, I always considered him a very good friend, and shipmate. He was a good man, and a credit to his family and the Navy. “Fair winds and following seas”, shipmate. Rest in Peace.

Nick had several “daughters” in Houston. We loved Nick and Julie’s trips to Houston, going to their favorite restaurants and Nick’s consistently corny jokes. His gusto for life was a treat. We will miss him, and look forward to your next trip, Mom!
Love from Houston,
Kathy

Nick has been a mainstay at St. John Lutheran. He will certainly be missed in worship and during times of fellowship. Julia and family please accept our heartfelt sympathy during your time of mourn and loss. We share in that time with you as we have lost a brother and a friend. May you find the peace and comfort that carries you through these days. We believe that he is alive with God and that brings us solace as he will be remembered in his absence. Shalom, his faith family at St. John. Pastor Bob

Gail, Julie, and Linda;
It was so very sad to hear that Nick had passed away. He was such an honorable serviceman, businessman, and friend. Our family appreciated his kindness when we lost our brother, and he touched so many lives for good wherever he went. May your memories of happier times comfort you now.
