Ethel J. Ruffing
Ethel J. Ruffing, 71 of Ramey, PA passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at her home.
Born on November 7, 1940, she was the daughter of the late James & Martha (Brendt) Herman. On February 14, 1960 she was married to Charles E. Ruffing, Sr in Osceola Mills, PA, who passed away on December 29, 2002.
Mrs. Ruffing was of the Christian Faith and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Florence Ruffing; a son, James Ruffing; two sisters, Evelyn Fryer & Dorothy Herman; and two brothers, James Herman & Robert Herman.
She is survived by two daughters, Louise Prevost of Charleston, SC, and Brenda Ricketts & her husband Bryan of Utahville, PA; three sons, Charles E. Ruffing, Jr., John R. Ruffing, and Billy Joe Ruffing all of Ramey, PA; two sisters, Betty Krause & her husband James of Ramey, PA, and Anna Mae Herman of Philipsburg, PA; a brother, Sherman Herman and his wife Donna of Osceola Mills, PA; four grandchildren, David Prevost, Patty Prevost, Jason Guthrie, & Crystal Herman; and two great-grandchildren, Nina Walk & Jeanie Walk.
The Funeral will be on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA with Pastor Kevin Howard officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
