Ralph W. Phillips
Ralph W. Phillips, 87, of Osceola Mills, PA passed away on January 2, 2012 at Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield.
Born May 5, 1924 in Sandy Ridge, PA he was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Moore) Phillips. He was married to Barbara (Timchack) Phillips on June 11, 1949 in Osceola Mills, PA.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Osceola Mills, PA, the Mountain Top Fire Company of Sandy Ridge, PA, Central District Fireman’s Association, and the LOOMoose in Osceola Mills, PA. He was retired from the former Philipsburg State General Hospital as a security guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; an infant grandson; a daughter in law Cynthia Phillips; a sister Harriet Moyer; and a brother Gerald Phillips.
He is survived by a daughter Robin Phillips of Osceola Mills, PA; a son Ralph (Bill) Phillips and his wife of Osceola Mills,PA; three grandchildren Stephanie, Samantha and Ella Phillips; a great granddaughter Christina Covey; seven sisters Esthwr Moyer of Buffalo, NY, Jacqueline Hallman of Buffalo, NY, Mildred Hill of Madera, PA, Betty Best and her husband Robert of NC, Judith Goss and her husband Robert of Bufallo NY, Gloria Jean Howe and her husband William of Brisbin PA, Nancy Schindler and her husband Dale of Houtzdale, PA; three brothers Robert Phillips and his wife Earldean of Buffalo NY, John Phillips of Buffalo NY, and James Phillips and his wife Diane of Buffalo, NY.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA, with a Rosary recited at the funeral home at 7:30 P.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated by Rev. Father Robert Horgas on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Osceola Mills at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Osceola Mills, PA.
