Richard Peters
Richard Peters, 62, of Philipsburg, PA passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.
He was the son of Michiko (Tadakuma) Peters & the late Edgar Peters, born on December 1, 1950 in Yokohama, Japan.
Mr. Peters was of the Christian Faith, baptized on March 8, 1952 and was received on April 11, 1965.
He served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired laborer, and a 1969 graduate of Round Top High School.
Mr. Peters is survived by: his companion Cathy Knepp at home; three step daughters, Wanda Oswalt & her husband, Arthur of Clearfield, PA, Tina Gavlock & her husband, Michael of Clearfield, PA, and Cathy Chapman & her husband Charles of Philipsburg, PA; a sister, Brenda Miller of Carmia, TX; a brother, Michael Peters & his wife, Connie of Carmia TX; six grandchildren, Richard, Michael, Andrew, Madison, Chase, and Collin; three nieces, and a nephew.
The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, PA, with Pastor Darl L. Ware officiating. Burial will be at the Bradford Cemetery in Woodland, PA.
Visitation will be held Thursday December 13, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
