Barbara J. Merritt, 65, of Philipsburg, PA died on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.
Born on September 20, 1950 in Philipsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Emery C. & Evelyn B. (Duttry) Maines.
Ms. Merritt was a graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School and was retired from Charles Navasky & Co. in Philipsburg, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-brother, Richard Brown.
Ms. Merritt is survived by: two sisters, Nancy English & her husband Ronald of Houtzdale and Marilyn Spencer of Philipsburg, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Public Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Chapel of the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA, with Pastor Jennifer C. Heikes officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
