Sally J. Matthews

Sally J. Matthews, 71, of Philipsburg, PA and formerly of Osceola Mills, PA died on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the Windy Hill Village PSL, Philipsburg, PA.

Born on February 15, 1947 in Philipsburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Herschel & Myra M. (Anderson) Kephart.  She married Donald Edward “Sam” Matthews, Jr. on September 20, 2010 in Osceola Mills, PA: he preceded her in death on August 16, 2016.

She was of the Christian Faith.

Sally was a retired personal care nurse. She had worked at Mt. Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and the former Philipsburg State General Hospital.  She was a 1965 graduate of the Philipsburg Osceola Mills High School.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by: one daughter, Stacey Pritchard Eggers and one brother, James Kephart.

She is survived by: three daughters, Robin Sipple & her husband Jeff of Clearfield, PA; Kimberly Pritchard of Erie, PA; Holly Vroman & her husband Jeffrey of Sandy Ridge, PA; eight grandchildren, Kristen Berg, Samantha Eggers, Scott Brown, Reilly and Baylie Vroman, Shane Pritchard, Carley and Rhett Louder; seven great-grandchildren; and her dog Rosie.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC in Osceola Mills, PA: with Rev Robert Bruinooge officiating.  Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
