Connie Lee Kirstner-Legersky
Connie Lee Kirstner-Legersky, 74, of Philipsburg, PA, and formerly of Osceola Mills died on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born on July 31, 1951, in Altoona, PA, Connie was the daughter of the late William M. Kirstner & Alberta V. (Vaughn) Cowfer. She married Michael J. Legersky on October 19, 2001, in Aspen, Colorado.
Connie retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse after 23 years of service in Labor and Delivery at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College. Throughout her career and life, she demonstrated compassion, kindness, and a genuine love for people.
Connie loved the Lord, being a devoted wife, and — without a doubt — being an adoring mom.
She was involved in the school PTA, her son’s little league baseball, and her daughter’s sorority. She loved to make homemade meals, was an avid reader, played Canasta, and enjoyed trips to the movie theater quite frequently. She had a knack for family history and loved to collect people’s stories and understand where she came from.
Connie was endlessly humorous, warm, and kind. She could make anyone smile and had a contagious laugh. Her personality was larger-than-life. Connie had a quiet strength to her and gave her family the best of her.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by a niece, Lynn Kirstner. May she rest in peace with her father Bill and her niece Lynn, whom are waiting for her with open arms.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael J. Legersky; a daughter, Kellie E. Berg of Pittsburgh, PA; a son, Timothy M. Berg & his wife, Victoria N., of DuBois, PA; a brother, Rev. Charles E. Kirstner & his wife, Diane, of Lancaster, PA; and her three beloved grandchildren, Keagen Allaman, Finnigan Berg, and Addison Berg.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania, with Rev. Robert Bruinooge officiating.
Burial will follow in Umbria Cemetery.
There will be no public visitation.
Following the funeral service, a Celebration of Life will be held at her son’s home, with details to be announced at the service.
